PHYSIOTHERAPEUTIC INTERVENTION IN LIPEDEMA

This session will have the following objectives:
- Understanding the pathophysiology of lipedema from a functional perspective
- The identification of clinical patterns and differentials in the physical examination
- Recognition of the main tools used by physiotherapists in conservative treatment
- Know the particularities of the physiotherapeutic approach in the pre-, intra- and post-surgical periods
- Developing evidence-based practice guidelines for different patient profiles
- Integrating physiotherapy into multidisciplinary work
Exercise in Lipedema: Scientific Evidence, Clinical Applications and Pathways to Safe Practice.

This session integrates the best available scientific evidence on exercise in lipedema, combining systematic review, original research data and international recommendations. The aim is to translate science into safe, effective clinical practice adapted to patients' needs, with a focus on pain, function and quality of life.
